I wrote scholarly papers ( and published globally) about the dangers of the return of the Soviet communist nomenklatura even before LT voted them back to power in 1992, the first country to vote so in the entire postcommunist world of at least 50 countries. In my analyses, among others, I used the economic theory of "rent seeking behavior" by Prof. Anne Krueger, Stanford University, USA. Because of my writings and my principled stance against this mistake by the Lithuanian people (1992 election), I became a sort of persona non-grata in Lithuania, an unmentionable indeed.
And that is OK since I fought for the LT freedom and was persecuted (thrown out of school in communist Poland, etc) for that since I was 15 years old!
