18 months have passed since VilNews went online. A great success with infinitely many good suggestions and comments from you, our dear readers around the world.

No country for the young! Same old people…same old "ideas"…Back in 1991 I warned/published in LT & abroad that the comeback of communists (LT was the first country among the over 50 postcommunist nations to return the old "reformed" communists to power in 1992!) could pose the mortal danger to LT as the Soviet nomenklatura will hijack the LT development ("prikhvatization": to the exclusion of young people who have been emigrating at rates placing LT no. 1 in Europe!) and communists will engage in wide scale “rent seeking” for their exclusive benefit (in effect looting the country) to further devastate the LT economy and society. To arrive at my conclusions, I used the Stanford U. Prof. A. Krueger's “rent seeking economic model".
SADLY, I WAS CORRECT IN MY PREDICTIONS!
