U.S. re-elected president enjoys great confidence around the world. Let us hope that this confidence can contribute to less tension and increased human understanding between peoples and nations over the four years that are now ahead of us.
If the world outside USA had a say, President Barack Obama would have won with very clear margins over Mitt Romney, according to surveys presented in several world news media ahead of the U.S. elections. See below.
Unfortunately, there are no numbers available for Lithuania.

As Americans, we are different in character, energy, and philosophy than the nations of Europe. Our republic's constitution is a combination of limited federal power and states rights. Our nation is based upon protection of maximum personal liberty and freedom and founded upon those principles. Government power is derived from concessions made by the people and states. We are not like the egalitarian democracies based upon the French Revolution. Most Europeans expect that government will solve their economic problems. I believe that Europe is on a steep moral and financial decline. European people have conceded most personal rights to the authority of central governments. Nations are not reproducing native populations and will face a serious demograhic and political crises as Muslims make substantial population gains in the next decade. Our American crisis remains the immediate need to handle our national debt issues. Pray that the US does not become like the rest of Europe. If our influence and economy declines, your financial and political crisis will intensify. Totalitarian nations are born out of these crises. The enemies are at the gates. Do you remember WWI and WWII?
I cannot believe that any informed Lithuanian would be more favorable to Obama. Of course, if the general population consensus is left of center, favors a pro socialist agenda, this bodes most unfavorably for the Lithuanian nation. Putin, Iran, and most nations in the Middle East have no respect for President Obama. In the US, we have chosen badly in this election. NATO remains the single most powerful protector of the soverignty of Lithuanian, Latvia, and Estonia. Is there any alliance that can replace NATO?
This is a dance with death. Obama is a convinced Leftist with sympathies for non democratic nations including Venezuela and Cuba. He will diminish the US role in NATO, concede spheres of influence to Russia. Putin has already reached out to congratulate Obama and has expectations that there will be "flexibility" in concessions that are critical to Poland and the Baltic Nations.
Lithuania is 77.5% for Obama!
